The Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative gold coin to mark the 10thanniversary of the constitution of the Croatian National Parliament, 30 May 1990 – 30 May 2000. The Parliament was constituted as a representative body of citizens vested with legislative power on 30 May 1990, after a multi-party election in spring 1990.
Minted in proof quality, the coin was released for sale on 22 May 2000.

The Decision on the issue and sale of the commemorative gold coin "10th anniversary of the constitution of the Croatian National Parliament, 30 May 1990 – 30 May 2000" was published in the Official Gazette No. 50/2000, 34/2010, 120/2010, 128/2012, 121/2016 and 109/2017.
The obverse of the gold coin was designed by the sculptor Kuzma Kovačić and the reverse by the sculptor Kažimir Hraste.
