Deputy Governor participated in the conference "Women and Entrepreneurship in the Krapina-Zagorje County 2026 – from Idea to Influence", held in Krapina and organised by SL Krapina Konzalting and the Krapina-Zagorje County. The conference brought together female entrepreneurs, the representatives of various public institutions and local communities, providing a forum for them to exchange experiences, strengthen business networks and encourage new entrepreneurial initiatives.A

In the lecture "Economic Trends 2026 – Where is the Room for Growth for Female Entrepreneurs?" the Deputy Governor presented the main macroeconomic developments and prospects for the Croatian economy, based on the latest CNB forecasts. She referred in particular to the factors that shape inflationary and economic developments, as well as to the risks that entrepreneurs need to take into account in business planning.

Speaking about women's entrepreneurship, the Deputy Governor pointed out that Professor Slavica Singer made an important contribution to understanding this topic in Croatia, having opened up space for the systematic monitoring of women's entrepreneurial activity through the GEM research. Drawing on the findings of those studies, the Deputy Governor presented a series of concrete proposals to strengthen female entrepreneurship, from better access to finance and business networks to skills development, mentoring and easier transition from the early phase of entrepreneurial activity to sustainable growth.

She also emphasised that a less favourable macroeconomic environment does not have to halt entrepreneurial ventures if the risks are recognised in time. With a more careful management of costs, liquidity and funding sources, as well as with a timely anticipation of market changes, female entrepreneurs can prevent unpleasant surprises, amortise shocks and preserve room for growth and investment.
