At its session today, the Croatian National Bank Council reviewed the latest economic and monetary developments, foreign reserve management report and report on central bank's financial operating results in the first half of 2008, as well as the report on the condition of the banking system in the second quarter of the year.
The CNB Council endorsed the decision of the Credo banka d.d. Split Supervisory Board to reappoint Šime Luketin as Chairman of the Management Board and also approved reappointments of Zdenko Adrović as Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisenbank Austria d.d. Zagreb and of Franjo Franjić as Member of the Management Board of Raiffeisen stambena štedionica d.d., Zagreb.
Due to failure to meet capital, organisational and personnel requirements, Štedno-kreditna zadruga CH Zagreb was denied approval to continue operating as a savings bank.
The CNB Council also gave approval for the commemorative gold coin dedicated to Marin Držić, nominally worth HRK 1 000, to be put on sale on 22 September at the price of HRK 1 700. This commemorative coin issue is the central bank's contribution to marking the 500th anniversary of the birth of this great Croatian writer.
