A group of about forty economic advisers and other representatives of foreign embassies in Croatia paid a visit to the CNB on Wednesday. The visit was organised by the Directorate for International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a view to briefing foreign diplomats on the country's current economic condition, banking system and monetary policy.
Deputy Governor Vujčić informed the esteemed guests of Croatia's major macroeconomic and development indicators and its position and achievements in relation to other Central and East European transition countries. Vicegovernor Maletić gave an overview of the Croatian banking system development while Vicegovernor Matejka elaborated on the recently introduced foreign exchange regulations and the effect of the adopted changes on Croatian companies' international business operations and financial and investment transactions of foreigners in Croatia.
