
On Saturday, 5 April 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Croatian National Bank will open the doors of the main building on Trg hrvatskih velikana in Zagreb to all interested citizens. On this occasion, the CNB will organise a tour of the main stock exchange hall of the former Zagreb Stock and Commodity Exchange (Round Hall) under expert guidance and enable a self-guided tour of the hall. In addition to touring the Round Hall, visitors will be able to participate in educational workshops led by Bank experts and learn about wise money management, get to know euro banknotes more closely and learn how to identify counterfeits, find out how money goes from design to recycling and learn how the monetary policy of the European Central Bank is transferred to Croatia.
Throughout the day, the youngest visitors will be able to join children’s workshops organised by the Moneterra – Money Museum of the Croatian National Bank.
As part of this event, meetings with the CNB Governor Boris Vujčić and Deputy Governor Sandra Švaljek will be organized for students and interested citizens. The Governor will hold a lecture on monetary policy decision-making and on the functioning of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank and his role in that body. After the lecture, students will be able to ask questions on this topic and on the topics from other areas of work of the CNB and the ECB.
The Deputy Governor will give a presentation on the digital euro – the money of the future. After the presentation, the participants will be able to ask the Deputy Governor questions on the topic.

The number of workshops is limited and applications are open until 4 p.m. on 3 April 2025 4 at the latest or until the capacity is filled.
Note: When arriving at the Croatian National Bank, it is necessary to bring an identity card. We kindly ask you to be understanding and patient when entering and not to bring large bags and backpacks into the building, so that the security check upon entering takes place as easily and quickly as possible.
