Today, a delegation of the National Commission for Development and Reforms of the People' Republic of China, led by its vice president Mr. Zhu Zhi Xin, visited the Croatian National Bank.
The deputy governor Dr Boris Vujčić and other central bank officials briefed the esteemed guests on the current economic developments and the condition of the Croatian financial system. The visitors showed particular interest in the Croatian central bank's experience in conducting monetary policy. While discussing the CNB's work in this area, the deputy governor specially referred to maintaining exchange rate stability and low inflation under the circumstances of a strong foreign capital inflow, which aroused exceptional interest of the Chinese guests.
The vice president of the Commission Zhu Zhi Xin informed the CNB representatives of the main economic indicators for China and of the Commission's primary tasks related mainly to analyzing the economic situation and designing an appropriate strategy of the national economic and social development.
